holy shit job searching is a massive pain
got laid off back in august of last year and i still have not been able to find another position. the amount of places you have to apply for on average before even getting an interview is insane. just a constant game of applying for a ton, tweaking your resume, pray you get an interview, repeat until hopefully your suffering ends.
plus employment insurance doesnt pay anywhere close to what you used to make, so you have to try to tighten up spending as much as possible as you watch whatever savings you have slowly disapear into the void of rent and food payments. with the rapid cost of living increases in canada the previous social nets that were supposed to support you when you hit a low are breaking down, and if something doesnt happen soon we'll have a crisis on our hands tbh.
but yeah thats how my life is going right now lmao. hopefully i can pick up something soon, even just something thats temporary. but when even costco is ghosting your ass its kinda hard to have hope...
